Birch Tree Care is working with the City of Fridley to provide residents of the area discounted rates for Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) injections to specified trees within the public rights-of-way.
Here’s What to Expect
If you’re a Fridley property owner or have a home on the adjacent property and your trees are likely in the public right-of-way, they will be marked for EAB treatment. Shortly after, you will receive a mailer from the city notifying you of your treatment window. After our technicians administer the treatment injection, we will tag the trees with the year of treatment and leave a city-provided notification at the door. All private tree treatments will be completed between June 1st and September 30th or before fall leaf color change, whichever occurs sooner.

Our Process
Once you’ve contacted us for a free estimate for the treatment of trees located on your private property, one of our consulting arborists will visit your property within 5 business days. You will not have to be present at the time of visit, unless you would like to schedule a one-on-one appointment.
Our ISA Certified Arborists will then ensure that the trees meet treatment requirements.
Are your trees eligible for the EAB program?
We prioritize tree health and safety, and the following conditions may disqualify a tree from treatment.
More than 30% canopy decline
Signs of severe decay in trunk or major branches
A crack in trunk or major branches
Broken limbs greater than 4 diameter inches
Any fungal fruiting body on trunk
Any other condition which may make it unsuitable for treatment
Note: All public Ash trees marked for treatment in 2024 will be completed between June 1st and July 31st.
If you haven’t reached out for a free estimate yet, you can do so below to secure your visit.
