FUN FACTIONS ABOUT MINNESOTA’S STATE TREE
Minnesota may be known for being the “Land of 10,000 Lakes,” however, we are also home to hundreds of thousands of Red Pines – our state tree! These pines are one of 52 native trees in our state and are found in many parts of northern and northeastern Minnesota.
This beautiful tree became the Minnesota state tree in 1953 and ever since then, the Red Pine has been a favorite for all who live and visit here. In honor of this awesome arbor, here are five fun facts to test your state tree knowledge.
